Variety >are reporting that Canada’s CTV have bought the rights to air Flash Forward:
Canadian broadcaster CTV has opened up its checkbook at the L.A. Screenings and bought sci-fi drama “Flash Forward” from Disney.
Pickup isn’t all that surprising considering CTV has done lots of business with Disney in the past. The network is both the 18-49 demo ratings and total-viewer champ and its lineup includes nine of Canada’s top 10 shows, including “Lost,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “American Idol” and the “CSI” and “Law & Order” franchises.
A CTV spokesman said he was unsure whether “Flash Forward” will be shown on CTV or ‘A‘ channel, another CTVglobemedia-owned net. Ultimately, it could run on both channels. A decision will be made shortly as the Canadian nets start their upfronts on June 2.
Yet more good news for this much buzzed about show!
