FlashForward

Good news FlashForward fans – the show has been picked up by ABC for a full season! The Hollywood Reporter has more:

ABC is on roll, the network just gave “FlashForward” a full-season pickup.

Last Thursday, ABC picked up comedies “Modern Family,” “The Middle” and “Cougar Town.”

The ABC Studios mystery-drama has performed admirably for the network in its competitive Thursday-night time period and has been well-liked by critics. It’s premiere was the first regular scripted series since “Friends” to beat CBS’ “Survivor” in its time slot.

“FlashForward” boosted its time period by 32% compared to “Ugly Betty” in the spot last year. When factoring DVR viewership, “FlashForward” gained a larger number (0.8) than any other freshman series (full premiere week DVR analysis here). Last Thursday’s performance was a 3.0 in the adult demo, in second place behind CBS’ “Survivor.”

I’m hearing that the season will run for a total of 24 episodes.

I’m probably not the only one who has noticed that April 29 falls on a Thursday night. Maybe the season finale…maybe a cliff-hanger with another flash forward to let us know whether or not it will be back next season?

I like the show. Its alright…a little predictable, and some of the characters are poorly written and almost as poorly acted, but the premise is intelligent and I’m hoping with time it will grow on me. However, having the dark mysterious heavy at the end of the Black Swan episode being played by “Charlie”, (Dominic Monaghan) from LOST, was about as poorly cast as Barney the dinosaur being cast as the lead reptile in the next Jurassic Classic. B’Geeeeez!

I wonder what they’ll do to continue the series to a second season.. We’ll probably be asksing that same question later on down the line when it’s like “Wonder what they’re gonna do for season 4 or 5!!”

I think the whole world will collapse again into another flash forward that will set up season 2.

I think the whole show will be gay.

That show had better be glad that Smallville comes on Friday, becuase it would definitely be no competition in all areas. I guess Smalleville is the only show left to watch that is decent.
